OBITUARY

Grace Riffle, 87, of Penn Craft, Pa., passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in her home.

She was born March 27, 1921, in Brownsville, Pa., a daughter of the late Roy H. Chrispen and Margaret Shelton Chrispen.

Grace was formerly employed by a defense contractor in Cleveland, during World War II, where she worked along with her mother and sister, Ethel who just recently passed away on January 30, 2009.

Grace was also employed as a personal secretary for the owner of Gallet Knitting Mill of Penn Craft and Uniontown, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur L. Riffle, sister Mary Grace Skillcorn and Ethel Illig.

She is survived by her sons: Bill Riffle and wife Barb of Belle Vernon, Pa., and a granddaughter, Michelle Riffle, Dana Riffle of Lemont Furnace, Pa., and a grandson, Louis Riffle and granddaughter Megann Riffle; a daughter, Bonnie Matthews of Uniontown, Pa.; nieces and nephews: Kenneth Illig, Margaret Skillcorn Martin, Mary Sue Skillcorn-Erb, Frances Skillcorn Straight, William Skillcorn III, and Wilma Skillcorn Lieberman.

By her own wishes, there will be no viewing and burial will be private for her immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Grace's name may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
