Lucy R. Patterson 93 of Brownsville, PA (Centerville Borough) died Monday, December 19, 2011 in the Donnell House, Washington, PA after a lengthy illness.
She was born May 2, 1918 in Bloomington, IL a daughter of the late Henry Clay and Cordelia Josephine Dyer Jones.
A homemaker, Mrs. Patterson was a longtime member of the Centerville United Methodist Church, a member of the former Deemston Grange and member of the Pennsylvania State Grange and National Grange.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, deeply loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
On April 2, 1947 she married Charles C. Patterson who died January 2, 2010. They celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Surviving are four children; Kathy Raley of Brownsville, PA, Don Patterson of Coal Center, PA, Carol Rozell (Bill) of Brownsville, PA and Bob Patterson (Betty) of Clarksville, PA (Deemston); six grandchildren, Melanie Whipps (Bobby), Sharon Brenzy (Stephen), Cory Raley, Leigh Patterson (Andy Palfi), Scott Carl (Amy), and Jack Patterson; four great-grandchildren, Steven Kerik, Jr., Samantha Carl, Adalyn Whipps, and Ashlyn Brenzy; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband is a son, Richard Patterson who died July 10, 1965; two sisters, Harriet and Belle Galbraith; three brothers, Tom, Patrick, and Alvie Jones.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, December 22, 2011. the hour of a memorial service in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, PA with Rev. Eugene Stollings officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date in Beallsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
