Donald Haywood Fitch Sr.

FITCH – Donald Haywood Sr.  Age 75, of Charleroi, PA, formerly of Bentleyville, died Tuesday, November 28, 2006 in his home.  He was born April 29, 1931 in Washington, PA, a son of the late James Wesley and Grace Haywood Fitch.  Mr. Fitch worked as a welder for Lee Norse Company in Charleroi, PA for over 33 years having retired in 1988.  He was a member of the IMBS in Monongahela, PA where he enjoyed playing Euchre.  On September 27, 1986 he married Martha Close Fitch of Charleroi who survives with whom he celebrated twenty years of marriage.  Also surviving are four children by his first wife Sara Jane Dague Fitch, they are: Diana Fitch of Upper St. Clair, Don Fitch, Jr. of Amity, Jeff Fitch Sr. of Phoenix, AZ and Cynthia Winters of Seven Fields and a stepson Edward Close III of New Brighton; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a sister Grace Arlene Carson and a brother James Fitch, Jr. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main ST., Bentleyville, PA where service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 2, 2006 with Pastor Dan Turney officiating.  Interment will be in Beallsville, Cemetery, Beallsville, PA.   Online guest book and personal condolences may be accessed at www.GreenleeFuneralHome.com.  Send condolences at post-gazette.com.gb
