Guy R. Cole Sr. obit

Guy R. Cole, Sr., 81 of Fredericktown (Deemston Boro) died Monday September 21, 2009 in the Washington Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born July 3, 1928 in Washington, Pa. the son of the late Robert M. and Elizabeth VanVoorhis Cole.
Mr. Cole was a graduate of Beallsville High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War in which he served as a Sergeant from 1951 to 1953. He later graduated from the St. Frances Hospital School of Radiology. He had been employed by the Centerville Clinic for over 42 years as an X-Ray Technician from where he retired in 1997.
He attended St. Michael Archangel R.C. Church, St. Oliver Plunkett Parish of Fredericktown and enjoyed gardening and working in his yard.
On April 28, 1973 he married Caroline Amato Cole who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Carol J. Bevans and husband Dennis of Washington, one son, Guy R. Cole Jr. and wife Danielle of Canonsburg, and three grandchildren, Caitlyn Cole, Emilee Bevans, and Beighly Knapp.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank St. at Crawford Rd. Fredericktown where funeral services will be held Friday September 25, 2009 at 1:00pm with Rev. Paul Grunebach Officiating. Interment will be private and will be in the Beallsville Cemetery.
