OBITUARY

Amy Lee Rohrer, 76 of Beallsville, PA died at 8:15pm Friday August 17, 2007 in her home after a lengthy illness, with her family at her side.
She was born October 22, 1930 in Clarksville, PA a daughter of the late Guy M. and Leota Yoders Nyswaner.
Mrs. Rohrer was a 1948 graduate of Jefferson High School.
During her working years, she was employed in several area stores as well as being self-employed. She and her husband formerly owned and operated Nemacolin Amoco in Beallsville.
She was a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church. 
Mrs. Rohrer was an avid reader. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, collecting dolls, old photographs, memorizing her family history, playing slot machines and attending football games to watch her grandchildren.
Amy’s greatest enjoyment came from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her home was always full of activity, food and that special caring and interest that only a mother and grandmother can provide.
On June 24, 1950 she married John Duane Rohrer, who survives. They celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Surviving in addition to her husband are five sons – Jim Rohrer and his wife Pam of Beallsville, John Rohrer and his wife Roberta of Centerville, Rodney Rohrer and his wife Robin of Avella (West Middletown), Mark Rohrer and his wife Christy of Beallsville and Doug Rohrer and his wife Kristie of Carmichaels. One Daughter – Lois McCarty and her husband Tom of Marianna; Ten grandchildren – Eric Rohrer, Shawn Rohrer, Bryan Rohrer, Robin Rohrer, Lisa McCarty, Abby Koss, J.D. McCarty, Matt Rohrer, Dylan Rohrer and Karissa Rohrer; Five Great Grandchildren – Christian, Zoe and Savannah Rohrer, Lee Koss, and Morgan Shultz; Several nieces, nephews and great nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents is a sister – Ruth Mylan; Two Brothers – Clinton and Wayne Nyswaner.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9pm Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Monday in the Greenlee Funeral Home 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA where services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday August 21, 2007 with Pastor Edd Myers and Pastor Nancy Zahn officiating. Interment will be in the Beallsville Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Centerville United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 823 Old National Pike, Brownsville, PA 15417.
