OBITUARY

Norma F. Craig, 78, of Fredericktown, died Monday, April 27, 2009 in the Mon Valley Hospital. She was born June 18, 1930 in Star Junction, PA, a daughter of the late Donald A. and Ella I. Stimmel Stickel. Mrs. Craig was a 1948 graduate of East Bethlehem High School. She was a dental assistant for the late Dr. Stewart E. Smith and had also worked for Gross Furniture in Fredericktown and California. Mrs. Craig was a longtime member of the Millsboro Presbyterian Church, where she was the organist for 25 years. She enjoyed reading and playing cards, and also volunteered at the Food Pantry in Vestaburg for many years. She was a great baker who specialized in blackberry pies. On September 1, 1961 she married the late Albert Richard Craig Sr. in Winchester, VA. Surviving is one son- Albert Richard Craig Jr. (Linda Jo) of West Newton, PA; one daughter- Barbara Varner of Rices Landing; one brother- Harold Donald Stickel of Miami, FL; two sister in laws- Marianne Stickel of Washington and Sarah Stickel of Waynesburg; three grandsons- Brad Allen Craig (Beth) of York, PA., John Adams Craig (Andrea) of Marianna, and Billy Joe Varner of Rices Landing; two grand daughters- Lauren Jo Craig of West Newton and Amanda Varner of Rices Landing; six great grandchildren- Natalie, Caitlin, and Madison Craig, Anthony and Zachary Craig; and Ryan Varner; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are two brothers- Harry Francis Stickel and Leonard Ray Stickel. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-9 PM Wednesday in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville. Additional visitation will be held Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 10-11 AM, the hour of services, in the Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church, Clarksville PA with Mr. Ford Campbell officiating.
