Helen Debreczeni, age 81 of Daisytown, PA died Thursday, May 18, 2006 in the Donnell House, Washington following a brief illness.
She was born December 30, 1924 in Daisytown, PA a daughter of the late Steve and Elizabeth Vargo Sakach, Sr.
Mrs. Debreczeni was a graduate of California High School.
She was a member of the Daisytown Hungarian Presbyterian Church in Daisytown, PA.
Mrs. Debreczeni was a homemaker and worked during WW II as "Rosy the Riveter" building and welding landing craft for a company at Neville Island.
On September 21, 1946 she married Joe Debreczeni who died December 6, 2000.
Surviving is a daughter Joyce Debreczeni of Palm Springs, CA also several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is a son Joseph R. Debreczeni who died December 3, 1993; two brothers - Steve and William Sakach and a sister Elizabeth Breznak.
Friends will be received Saturday, May 20, 2006 from 10:00 to 1:00 p.m. the hour of services in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main St., Beallsville, PA with the Rev. Paul Min officiating. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery.
