OBITUARY

Harriet S. Marshall, 95, of Waynesburg, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018, in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg.

She was born March 3, 1922, in Clarksville, a daughter of the late Daniel Raymond Simmons and Anna Dalbey Simmons.

She was a graduate of Jefferson High School.

She worked for 33 years as a clerk in several coal company stores. She later was a nursing assistant in the Curry Home and Bristor's Personal Care Home in Waynesburg. She retired from Bowlby Public Library, where she was a library aide.

She was a member of Waynesburg First Church of the Nazarene. In her retirement, she did volunteer work in Waynesburg Senior Citizen Center and Bowlby Public Library.

She was the last of her immediate family. Surviving are niece Cynthia Simmons of Duxbury, Mass.; nephew Daniel Bennett of Philadelphia: and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Deceased are a brother, Arthur Simmons; three sisters, Freda S. Yoders, Ruth Simmons Horner and Rebecca Kane; and three nephews, Howard Bennett, Ronald A. Simmons and Robert A. Simmons.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 3, in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, followed by services at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John Poling officiating. Burial will be in Beallsville Cemetery.
