Jessie Wanita Scatena, 92 of Fredericktown, PA died Saturday, March 7, 2015 in the Washington Health System.
She was born June 4, 1922 in Moundsville, WV, a daughter of the late Steve and Elizabeth Nesbit Borland.
She was a graduate of West Beth High School.
For several years she worked as a clerk in the Washington County Register of Wills Office and also worked in the cafeteria of the Beth Center High School.
She was a longtime member of Fredericktown United Methodist Church and the Beth Center Senior Citizens, Vestaburg, PA.
Jessie was an excellent pie baker and enjoyed traveling with her family. She especially cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters. Family was extremely important to her.
In 1942 she married John Scatena who passed away January 10, 1993. They celebrated 51 years of marriage. 
Surviving are three children, John S. Scatena of Atlanta, GA, Linda L. Pritts (James) of Houston, TX and Jeffrey T. Scatena of Eighty Four, PA; five grandchildren, Renee’ McDonnell, Johnna Deering, Jimmy B. Pirtts, Justin Pritts and Kaicey Pritts; four great grandchildren, Danny and Peter McDonnell and Thomasina and John Deering; one brother, Robert Borland (Elaine) and one sister, Edith Dillegge (Dave) both of Maryland; several nieces and nephews. 
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband is a daughter Cynthia who died in 1957; two sisters, Betty Brown and Jeannette Carsten; one brother, Thomas Borland.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, PA where services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Max Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, PA. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Fredericktown United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 477, Fredericktown, PA 15333.
