OBITUARY

Charles Kokoska Sr.

Charles Kokoska, Sr., 67, of Daisytown died unexpectedly Thursday January 10, 2008. He was born June 2, 1940 in Hazelkirk, Pa. a son of George Kokoska of Daisytown and the late Helen Bialon Kokoska. Mr. Kokoska was a 1958 graduate of California High School and also a graduate of Allegheny Tech. earning a degree in electrics. He had been employed by Kelly Industries of Eighty Four, Pa. for over 30 years and also by Penn Mould of Washington and Phoenix Glass of Moon Twp. as a mould maker for a total of 9 and a half years before retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Steelworkers of America Local #142 and also Local #67. He was a charter member of the Garwood Baptist Church of Daisytown with over 40 years of membership. He was also a charter member of the West Pike Run Grange #1928 and he enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, had a great love for all types of music and enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. On July 23, 1961 he married Etta Ames Kokoska who survives. Also surviving is a son, Dr. Charles Kokoska Jr. and wife Diane of Clarksville, Pa., one daughter, Jennifer Kadash and husband Jason of Clearwater, Fla., one sister, Carolyn Wisniewski and husband Anthony of Daisytown, five grandsons, Chad, Matthew, Joshua Kokoska, and Xander and Maxamus Kadash and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his mother is a son, Theodore Kokoska. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9pm Sunday in the John B. Greenlee Funeral, 2830 Main St. Beallsville and also from 10:00am to 11:00am the hour of funeral services Monday January 14, 2008 in the Garwood Baptist Church, Rt. 481 Daisytown with Pastor Cliff Reynolds officiating. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery.
