OBITUARY

Patricia Makowski-Twardon, 71, of Washington, died Friday, August 10, 2012, in the Donnell House, Washington.

She was born August 28, 1940, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Leonard and Anastasia Rogala Makowski.

Mrs. Makowski-Twardon was a graduate of South Side High School and Bradley University, where she studied art for four years.

She last worked at Serv-Pro Cleaning-Restoration, as a supervisor, for 15 years.

Mrs. Makowski-Twardon was Catholic and most recently attended Holy Trinity National Catholic Church in Washington.

Mrs. Makowski-Twardon was very artistic and enjoyed crafts and painting.

She was a social member of the Polish Club.

On December 16, 2003, she married her long-time companion, Michael P. Twardon, who survives.

Also surviving are a step-son, Michael S. (April) Twardon, and a step-daughter, Lori E. Twardon, both of Washington; two step grandchildren, Tanya Nicole Twardon and Justin Twardon; several nieces and nephews, including a niece, Christa Borruso, and nephews, Steven Hatch and David Hatch; and a sister-in-law, Sherri Romano.

Deceased are two brothers, Jerome Makowski and Robert Makowski; and a sister, Kathy Hatch.

Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012, with Father Mark Swoger officiating. Burial will follow in Beallsville Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 331 South Main Street, Washington, PA 15301, The Donnell House, c/o Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, or Washington Area Humane Society, 1527 Route 136, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
