Henry Hezekiah Wilson

Henry Hezekiah Wilson, 78 of Bentleyville, PA died Thursday, August 26, 2010 in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born July 31, 1932 in East Beth Twp. a son of the late Ivan and Mable Piper Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in the Korean War. For 28 years he was a custodian for the Bentworth School District until his retirement in 1993. Henry was the former Mayor of Ellsworth, former Chief and lifetime member of the Ellsworth Volunteer Fire Department, a Pennsylvania State Constable and Past President of the Pennsylvania State Constable Association. He currently was a Bentleyville Boro Council member and Vice President of the Bentleyville Boro Council. He was also a member of the Polish Club and the Bentleyville American Legion Post #165. On January 17, 1953 he married Geraldine Fisher Wilson who survives. Also surviving are three sons; Henry H. Wilson, Jr. (Lisa) of Bentleyville, John H. Wilson (Rhonda) of Ellsworth, PA., Jacob C. Wilson of Bentleyville, PA and; two daughters, Linda Vrabel (Michael) of Bentleyville, PA and Peggy Ritenour (Tom) of Ellsworth, PA; three sisters, Dorothy Koscheck of Fredericktown, PA, Althea Chew of Denbo, PA and Iva Baldi of Youngstown, OH; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are a daughter, Louise Ann Wilson and two sisters, Margaret White and Jenny Wilson. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 28, 2010 with the Rev. Paul D. Peternel of the Christian Assembly of God of Bentleyville officiating. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, PA. The family suggests contributions be made to a charity of one’s choice.

U.S. Navy veteran was former mayor of Ellsworth

Henry Hezekiah Wilson, 78, of Bentleyville, died Thursday, August 26, 2010, in Mon Valley Hospital.

He was born July 31, 1932, in East Bethlehem Township, a son of the late Ivan and Mable Piper Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean War.

He was a custodian for Bentworth School District for 28 years, until his retirement in 1993.

He was the former mayor of Ellsworth, former chief and life member of Ellsworth Volunteer Fire Department, a Pennsylvania state constable and past president of the Pennsylvania State Constable Association. At the time of his death, he was a Bentleyville Borough Council member and vice president of the council. He was also a member of the Polish Club and Bentleyville American Legion Post 165.
