Alberta L. Abbadini, 74 of Washington, PA formerly of Denbo Heights, died Friday August 23, 2013 in the Washington County Health Center.
She was born August 16, 1939 in Vestaburg, PA a daughter of the late Albert and Sarah Perry Abbadini.
Alberta was a 1957 graduate of the Bethlehem Joint High School and was a 1960 graduate of the Washington Hospital School of Nursing.
Her nursing career included employment with Holy Cross Hospital in Michigan, Brownsville General Hospital and the Golden Age Nursing Home in Brownsville. At the time of her retirement, she was serving as the Director of Nursing at the Washington County Health Center, where she had over 20 years of service.
She enjoyed reading, listening to audio books, cooking and gardening. She was especially fond of her faithful canine companion, Sadie.
Surviving is a daughter – Emily Anne Plutch (Robert L.) of Spring Hill, FL; Two sisters – Emily Darney of Vestaburg, PA and Donna White of Clarksville, PA; One brother Robert E. Abbadini (Kathy) of Centerville, PA; Step grandson – Bobby Plutch II; Three nephews – William Darney, Jason Darney and Robbie Abbadini; One niece – Kristin White Sisler.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 PM Tuesday in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank St at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, PA where services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday August 28, 2013 with Rev. Louise Corbett officiating. Interment will be in the Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, PA.
