OBITUARY

Dominick L. “Pickle” Zangla, 74 of Vestaburg, PA (Mexico) died Thursday July 31, 2014 in Mon Valley Hospital.
He was born March 20, 1940 in Vestaburg (Mexico) a son of the late Anthony D. and Anna Marie Branca Zangla.
Mr. Zangla previously owned and operated two service stations known as, Dom & John Atlantic Service Stations in Cleveland, OH. 
In 2000 he retired from California University of Pennsylvania where he had been employed as a Locksmith with 14 years of service and was a member of AFSCME.
An excellent mechanic, Pickle enjoyed collecting, restoring and maintaining antique cars as well as showing his vehicles at car shows. He was known as a “jack of all trades” and was always willing to repair any item, any time. Collecting keys was a hobby for him and at times was able to use keys from his collection for his work as a locksmith. His favorite saying was “if you find a key, give it to me”. 
On October 25, 1958 he married Joanne Hauncher Zangla who died May 6, 2000.
Surviving are four daughters – Joette Grimes of Vestaburg, Deborah A. Lohr (Donald W.) of Norwich, CT, Yvonne Riley of Pittsburgh and Dominque MacFann of Vestaburg; Five grandchildren – Jennifer and Michelle Grimes, Donald Lohr, Dominque Riley and Douglas MacFann, Jr.; Three great grandchildren – Dominick, Noella and Charlotte Lohr. One brother – Sebastiano “Sam” Zangla of Vestaburg; Several nieces and nephews; Longtime companion - Shirley Hice, Clarksville, PA.
Deceased in addition to his parents and wife is a brother, Anthony Zangla and a son died in infancy.

Friends will be received Monday August 4, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the hour of a Memorial Service in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank St. at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, PA with Rev. Joshua Koss officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the JEN Fund (Joyous Exciting New Day) 42 Black Dog Hollow Road, Clarksville, PA 15322.
