Virginia Lee Lesako

Retired teacher served Community Action Southwest

Virginia Lee (Ginger) Lesako, 65, of Centerville Boro, Brownsville, died Saturday, April 2, 2011, in Donnell House, Washington.

She was born December 11, 1945, in Brownsville, a daughter of the late Fred and Velma Colbert Ross.

Mrs. Lesako was a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in education in 1990. She was a retired teacher from Head Start in Brownsville with more than 20 years of service with Community Action Southwest.

She was a member of St. Oliver Plunkett Parish in Fredericktown.

Mrs. Lesako was widowed at a young age. Her selfless devotion to her twin sons will be remembered by all who loved her. She truly did give her days for their tomorrows.

Surviving are two sons, Mark A. Lesako and wife Kristen of  Washington and Michael A. Lesako and wife Teresa of Washington; three beloved grandchildren, Isabella Elena, Matteo Andrew and Gino Dominic Lesako; three brothers, Tony Ross of Mather, Jack Ross (Rose) of Brownsville and Joe Ross (Cindy) of Brownsville; sister-in-law Mary Lesako; and several nieces and nephews.

She also leaves a friend, Karlen Bushta.

In addition to her parents, deceased are her husband, George Andrew Lesako in 1975; and two sisters, Rose Visnesky and Darlene Ross Fields.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Inc., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville. A prayer service will be held at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Oliver Plunkett Parish, Fredericktown, with the Rev. Paul Grunebach as celebrant.

Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery.
