OBITUARY

Anna M. Loar

Washington Hospital retiree

Anna M. Loar, 89, of Eighty Four, Ontario, died Monday, December 6, 2010, in Donnell House, Washington, following a lengthy illness.

She was born February 19, 1921, in Vestaburg, a daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Gural.

Mrs. Loar was employed in the housekeeping department of Washington Hospital for 27 years, until her retirement.

She was Catholic.

Mrs. Loar was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and, more than anything, enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Travis.

Surviving are a son, Richard “Sow” Loar (Roberta), a grandson, Travis Loar, and a brother, John Gural, all of Eighty Four; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are her husband, Floyd “Barney” Loar, who died February 3, 1999; a brother, Joseph Gural; two sisters, Helen Karolesky and Stella Altomare; and a nephew, Don Karolesky.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 9, with the Rev. Paul Grunebach officiating. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery.
