OBITUARY
Mary Rose Penn Homemaker loved music Mary Rose Penn, 86, of Morgantown, W.Va., passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011, in Madison Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 15, 1925, in Washington County, a daughter of the late Herrell and Zella Bigler Barnard. Mrs. Penn was a homemaker who loved music. She had been an active member of Scenery Hill United Methodist Church and Bentleyville United Methodist Church, having played the organ for both churches for many years. Recently, she had been attending Suncrest United Methodist Church, Drummond Chapel Campus, in Morgantown. Surviving are two sons, John Howard Penn and spouse Gloria Gozdzik of Morgantown and Robert Ray Penn and spouse Margaret Plantz of Alexandria, Va.; a daughter, Eileen Sue Penn of Burlington, N.C.; six grandchildren, Veronica Penn-Bartoo, Corina Penn-Bartoo, Lysandra Penn-Bartoo, Rhonda Johnson, Kenneth Botham and Monica Foell; and five great-grandchildren. Deceased are her husband, Herman Ray Penn in 1995, and a sister, Martha Grace Tiffany. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in McCulla Funeral Home, Morgantown. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of services, Saturday, April 30, in Suncrest United Methodist Church, Drummond Chapel, Morgantown, with the Rev.
