OBITUARY

Glenn Paul Anderson, 78, of Bentleyville died Saturday August 18, 2007 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 4, 1929 in Marianna, PA a son of the late George P. and Vera K. Fisher Anderson. 
Mr. Anderson was a 1946 graduate of Trinity High School and a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy as a radioman aboard the Minesweeper USS Tercelan-386. He had been employed by Bethlehem Mines Corp., Mine #58 of Marianna for five years and also he worked for three years as a driver for Rieck Dairy of Charleroi, PA. He then became an insurance agent and field manager for the Baltimore Life Insurance Co. where he worked for over 29 years before retiring in 1986. 
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1809 of Bentleyville, Pa for over 30 years where he served as Secretary for the past 23 years. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. 
On June 25, 1949 he married Valara “Jeanne” Galanda who survives. Also surviving are two daughters; Kathleen DiNardo and husband Dennis of Scenery Hill, PA, Denise Ochap and husband Gene of Wheeling, WV; four sons; Glenn Anderson II and wife Brenda of Coal Center, PA, Michael Anderson and wife Leah of Monongahela, PA, Stanley Anderson and wife Sheryl of Scenery Hill, PA and George Anderson and wife Tammy of Eighty Four, PA; 15 Grandchildren; Lynn DiNardo, Dennis DiNardo II, Alyssa Brown, Geno and Steven Ochap, Joshua, Andrew, Michael II, Matthew, Ryan, Bryan, Zachery, Derek, Nicholas and Kaylie Anderson.
Deceased in addition to his parents is a sister, Betty Rebarick and two brothers, Jack and Roy Anderson.

Friends will be received on Monday from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA were services will be held at 11:00 A. M. on Wednesday August 22, 2007. Interment will be in the Beallsville Cemetery.
