OBITUARY

Mrs. Maud (HOPEWELL) DAVIS died Monday afternoon between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. of heart trouble, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank HOPEWELL, of Fallowfield twp. Mrs. DAVIS had been in poor health for several years but was not considered dangerously sick even up until a few hours before her death, which came as a great shock to her family and friends. She had been able to walk about the house and had sat down in a rocking chair when she suddenly fell to the floor, dying immediately.
Mrs. DAVIS was in her 25th year, being 24 on the 16th of last January. She was a member of the Christian church of Maple Creek. Mrs. DAVIS was married to Hugh DAVIS of Fredericktown, on August 16, 1905, but made her home with her parents in Fallowfield. She was well known and has many friends who will hear of her death with sadness.
Besides her parents, she leaves three sisters, Mrs. King WINNETT, Mrs. Jesse LEWIS, Mrs. Laurie GOSSITT, and Daisy at home; and two brothers Samuel and Earl.
Rev. Dundley of the California Christian church conducted the funeral services yesterday which were held at the house at 10:00 o'clock.
Interment in the Beallsville Cemetery.
