Mrs. Avery E. HAWKINS BURNS, 90, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 27, 1942, in the home of her nephew, Charles BURNS, Midway, following a complication of diseases due to her advanced years. She was born in 1852 in Beallsville, where she resided until several years ago when she came to Midway. Besides her nephew, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Rachel DAUM of Canton, Ohio; one brother, Aulery HAWKINS of the Odd Fellows home, Grove City: one niece, Mrs. C. MERRIMAN of Louisville, KY. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in Wilson's Funeral home, Midway. Burial was in the Beallsville cemetery.
