OBITUARY

Edward Bular, 82, of Bentleyville, died Wednesday morning, April 30, 2014 at the County Personal Care Home, Bentleyville with his family by his side. 

He was born November 2, 1931 at the family farm house in Bentleyville, a son of Stanley S. Bular, Sr. and Frances Graczyk Bular. 

He was a 1949 graduate of the Bentleyville High School. 

Mr. Bular was the owner of the former Bular’s Hardware Store in Bentleyville and was the maintenance supervisor for the Bentworth School District, where he retired in 1993. 

He was a member the Ave Maria Parish and the Knights of Columbus, Council 5826 in Bentleyville. 

He was a former and charter member of the Bentleyville Lions Club, where he had 32 years with perfect attendance. 

Mr. Bular was also a member of the Washington County Chapter of School Retirees and the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees. 

He enjoyed hunting with his sons, visiting Deep Creek, Maryland where he built a vacation home and spending 17 winters in Florida. 

On March 5, 1952 in Winchester, Virginia, he married Betty Jo Huffman, who survives. 

Also surviving are three children, Edward W. Bular of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Mary Lou Podroskey (David) of Scenery Hill and James Bular (Sherri) of Bentleyville; eight grandchildren, Rebecca Legamaro, Justin, Jared and Jordan Bular, Heather Podroskey, Brandon, Shane and Jocelyn Bular; great-grandchildren, Anna and Sam Legamaro; brothers, Walter W. Bular (Lenora) of Bentleyville and Thomas S. Bular (Nancy) of Eighty Four; daughter-in-law, Joanne Bular of Bentleyville and several nieces and nephews 

Deceased are brothers, Stanley S. Bular, Jr., Frank J. Bular and Albert H. Bular and a sister, Frances Campbell. 

Friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, May 3 followed at 1 p.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in Ave Maria Church, Bentleyville with the Reverend Edward L. Yuhas, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery. The Knights of Columbus will pray the Rosary at 6 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
