Bernice “Bernie” I. Weaver Micjan, 78 of Coal Center, PA died Tuesday, March 10, 2014 in the Washington Hospital. She was born September 19, 1935 in West Pike Run Twp., a daughter of the late Clyde and Ruth Hawkins Weaver. Mrs. Micjan was a 1954 graduate of California Area High School. For the last 17 years she has been employed by McDonalds in Bentleyville, PA. She was previously employed by the Charleroi Foodland, the Charleroi 5&10 and the Clover Farm Store in Bentleyville. She was a member of the Miner’s Club of Richeyville and the Cokeburg Moose Lodge #1629. She enjoyed gardening, mowing her grass, wildlife and the outdoors. She especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter Maddie, their special bond made the two of them inseparable. On October 25, 1966 she married Gerald S. Micjan who died December 25, 2010. Surviving are a son, Shawn Micjan (Stephanie) of Coal Center, PA; one granddaughter, Maddie Micjan (Jackie Cline); one brother, Robert Weaver (Olga) of Coal Center, PA; one sister, Nellie Sutch (Wayne) of Coal Center, PA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Mike and Barb Micjan, Sr. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Dolores Sheets.

           Funeral services will be private and under the direction of the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, PA.
