OBITUARY
Stephen Joseph “Skid” Ezarik 83, of Bentleyville, PA died Thursday, March 20, 2014 in his home. He was born March 15, 1931 in Avella, PA a son of the late Istwan “Steve” and Anna Slota Ezarik. Mr. Ezarik was a 1949 graduate of Bentleyville High School. With 20 years of service he worked for Consol/Beth Energy, Mine #60 as an underground coal miner until his retirement in 1994. After retirement he was a Starter at Chippewa Golf Course and delivery driver for Kuzy’s Drug Store. He enjoyed spending with his grandchildren, playing cards at the Knights of Columbus with his friends, going to sporting events, playing bingo, hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling and going to the Meadows Casino. On January 30, 1951 he married Helen Grayce Petrick Ezarik who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife is a son Steve Ezarik (Michelle) of Scenery Hill, PA; a daughter, Karen Berchin of Bentleyville, PA; five grandchildren, Andrew Berchin (Heather), Michael Berchin (Jonee), Justine Ezarik, Breanne Ezarik and Jenna Ezarik; one great granddaughter, Makenna Maine Berchin; two nephews, John and Joseph Matisofsky and one niece, Anne Matisofsky of Arizona; four grandnieces, Eileen (Clifford) Hanby, Carol (Lynne) Stone, Darlene (Patrick) Roberts and Carol Klatte (Glenn) Fouse and nine great grandnieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents is a sister, Mary Matisofsky; brother, Joseph Ezarik and brother-in-law, John Matisofsky. |
