Marilyn M. Zirkle

Blainesburg Bible Church member enjoyed gardening

Marilyn M. (Ann) Zirkle, also affectionately known as “Granny,” 87, of Richeyville, died Thursday, May 12, 2011, in her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born May 7, 1924, in West Virginia, a daughter of the late Dallas and Margaret Beal Murray.

Mrs. Zirkle was a homemaker and resided in Richeyville all of her life.

She was a member of Blainesburg Bible Church and Bethlehem-Center Senior Citizens and sang in the church choir.

Mrs. Zirkle’s love for her family and God was immeasurable. She loved going to church and being with the children. She also enjoyed gardening and photo albums and recorded her life memories in the pages of her well-read Bibles.

On November 21, 1940, she married Frank “Junior” Zirkle, who died September 18, 2001.

Surviving are three sons, Robert Zirkle Sr. (Kathy) of Millsboro, Jim Zirkle (Christy) of Ravenna, Ohio, and Perry Zirkle of Selingsgrove; a daughter, Bonnie Celestine (Tom) of Buckhannon, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Kellie Sabatini, Randy Zirkle, Kim Sabatini, Mark Paci, Wade Zirkle and Stephanie Maloney; 14 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Minnie Gray of Ashley, Mich., Margaret (Peg) Lebhaft of Meadville, Ruth Lavella of Bradenton, Fla., Sylvia Seydor of Stockdale and Shirley Kubicar of Richeyville; two brothers, Robert Murray of Lakeland, Fla., and Samuel Murray of Pontiac, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.

She also leaves behind her good friend, Wilma Holman; numerous family and friends; and her cat, Teekec, whom she loved.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are two grandsons, Robert Zirkle Jr. and Tony Paci, and two brothers, Earl James and William Murray.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Monday, May 16, in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, with Pastor David Benner officiating. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Blainesburg Bible Church Building Fund, c/o Pastor David Benner, 194 Luxor Road, Latrobe, PA 15650.
