OBITUARY

Eugene F. “Butch” Kennedy, 68 of Cokeburg, PA died Sunday, August 23, 2015 in the Washington Health System after a long illness.
He was born October 6, 1946 in Washington, PA a son of the late John and Bessie Snyder Kennedy. 
Mr. Kennedy was a 1964 graduate of Ellsworth High School. 
He served from 1966 to 1968 with the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the Bentleyville American Post #165.
For a number of years Butch was employed by J&L Steel Corporation, Homestead Works and for over 20 years he worked as a bartender at the Cokeburg Moose.
Mr. Kennedy was a lifelong member of the Cokeburg Presbyterian Church and enjoyed participating in the church Dartball League. He was an active member of Cokeburg Moose Lodge #1625 where he was a member of the Moose Golf League as well as the Moose Legion #121. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles. 
Surviving is a sister, Patricia Meyer (George) of Cokeburg, PA; two sisters-in-law, Carol Kennedy and Donna Kennedy both of Cokeburg, PA; five nieces, Darla Edgar, Barbara Bennedetti (Kenneth), Donna Kennedy, Janet Reese and Coliene Kennedy; two nephews, John Kennedy (Denise) and Richard Kennedy (Nicole); one great niece and one great nephew and numerous great, great nieces and nephews. 
Deceased in addition to his parents is a sister, Jacquelyn Reese; two brothers, Thomas “TK” Kennedy and John R. “Cobb” Kennedy.

Friends will be received Tuesday from noon to 8 P.M. in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA where funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Frances Skarriott officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, PA. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the TK Memorial Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 385, Cokeburg, PA 15324. Cokeburg Moose Lodge #1625 will conduct a service at 7 P.M., Tuesday in the funeral home. Military Rites will be accorded by Bentleyville American Legion Post #165.
