Robert C. Lerie
Brownsville (Denbo)

Robert C. "Bob" Lerie, 67, of Brownsville (Denbo Heights), died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006, in his home. He was born May 21, 1939, in Charleroi, a son of the late Charles and Sarah Magruda Lerie. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Lerie was an owner/operator truck driver for Hittman Transportation in New Stanton, a division of Westinghouse. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, Swart-Phillips American Legion Post 897 in Glade, and the Sons of Italy Frank Ricco Lodge in Brownsville. On July 22, 1981, he married Patricia Ondash Lerie, of Brownsville (Denbo Heights), who survives; two sons, Charles Lerie, of Sarasota, Fla., and Jeffery Lerie, of Fort Littleton; a stepson, Erin Ondash, of Miami, Fla.; one daughter, Andrea Wilson, of Fort Littleton; a stepdaughter, Susan Logsdon, of Scottdale; five grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley Lavalle, of Charleroi. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main St., Beallsville, where services will be held Thursday, Dec. 7, with Pastor Edd Myers officiating. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery.
