OBITUARY

Lois C. Worthy, 88 formerly of Richeyville, PA passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 in Presbyterian Health Care Center, Washington.
She was born September 13, 1928 in Duquesne, PA a daughter of the late Frederick and Anna Swanson Cogley.
Lois was a 1946 graduate of Duquesne High School.
She was employed by Bell Telephone Co. for 22 years retiring in 1986. At her retirement she was a Senior Staff Clerk.
Mrs. Worthy was a long time member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Fredericktown. She enjoyed quilting, traveling and spending time with her family.
On May 18, 1949 she married Thomas E. Worthy who passed away February 3, 2004.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Douglass (Mark) of Walkerville, MD and Lois Anne Hamilton (Robert) of Elkton, MD; five grandchildren, Cara Boledovic (Craig), Thom Douglass (Adele), Rebecca Hamilton, Brian Hamilton (Laura) and David Hamilton (Carolyn); five great grandchildren.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband is a sister Betty Palmer, brother Fred Cogley.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA where Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 11 AM with Rev. Max Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests Memorial Contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pittsburgh Chapter 100 West Station Sq. Bldg. Pittsburgh, PA 15205-4620 or a charity of one’s choice.
