Probably married to Dr. James Beatty and remarried to Samuel Adams after James died in 1819. Original position of stone was behind and between James Estep Beatty (her son) and Dr. James Beatty. The original positioning is from an earlier photo taken before these restorations. Info on marriage taken from Washington Co. PA Early Marriage Index. Newspaper clipping states that Dorcas Beatty married Samuel Adams May 15, 1823 by J. Hill Esq both of E. Bethlehem. Dorcas was mentioned in the will of Robert Estep, Peters Twp, dated 20 Dec 1829 probated June 22, 1832. Dorcas dau of Elijah, son of Robert Estep.

.	The cemetery association did some repairs around 2001 and set all of the fallen stones in concrete bases. Most of these stones had been piled in the corner of the cemetery so there was no way of knowing their original location. Dorcas Adams is now the second one in the row starting from the left.
