Lena "Lee" Cantoni Beveridge, 94, of Fallowfield Township, Charleroi, died Monday, May 24, 2004, in Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington, Pa.

She was born Nov. 28, 1909, in Charleroi, a daughter of Anthony and Anna Bigi Cantoni.

She worked for Miller's Fashions in Charleroi and retired in March 1981 after 21 years of service.

Mrs. Beveridge was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bentleyville, where she served as an elder, stewardship, deacon and was a member of the Evangelism Committee, Women's Association, CIC Class and Rachel Circle.

She was a charter member of the Historical Society of Charleroi and an honorary member of the Charleroi Garden Club.

Mrs. Beveridge also was a member of Monongahela Chapter 109 Order of the Eastern Star, Fallowfield Community Club, Pioneer Club of Bentleyville and the American Association of Retired Persons.

On May 15, 1937, she married William S. Beveridge III, who died Jan. 14, 1976.

Surviving are a son, William S. Beveridge IV of Duncannon; two grandchildren, Beth Ellen Fisher Johnson and William S. Beveridge V; one great-grandson, Benjamin Robert Johnson; one sister, Margaret Amodei of Monongahela; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are one daughter, Margaret Ann Fisher; one grandson, John R. Fisher Jr.; three sisters, Emily Balsano, Mary Lorenzi and Dorothy Pavlekovsky; and one brother, Frank Harvey Cantoni.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the THOMPSON-MARODI FUNERAL HOME INC., 809 Main St., Bentleyville, where family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m., Thursday, May 27 followed by services at 11 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, 812 Main St., Bentleyville with the Rev. John Garvin and Rev. James Tinnemeyer co-officiating.

Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
