OBITUARY

Ronald S. Cole, 77 of Bentleyville (Somerset Twp.) died peacefully Friday January 22, 2016 at his residence with his loving family at his side.
He was born February 3, 1938 in North Charleroi a son of the late John Elgie and Virginia Irene Fields Cole.
Mr. Cole was a 1956 graduate of California Area High School and had been employed by Suwak Trucking Inc. of Washington, Pa. as an over the road truck driver for over 31 years before retiring.
He was also a lifelong self-employed farmer which was his true passion and love and was second only to seeing his granddaughters breeding and showing their Black Angus cattle with whom he took great pride in sharing his passion with. He would often jokingly say “There are only two colors that matter on a farm, Black Angus and green tractors...”
Mr. Cole was a member of the Teamsters Local #419, American Angus Assoc., PA. Angus Assoc. in which he was also a board member, PA. Farm Bureau, National Cattleman’s Assoc., and also the Washington County Cattleman’s Assoc., 
He is survived by a daughter, Virginia A. “Ginna” Vasko and husband William of Bentleyville, a son Joseph J. Cole of Bentleyville, three granddaughters, Emily Vasko, Jessica Cole, Amanda Cole, a sister, Shirley Skverek of Charleroi, two half-brothers, Jason Cole of Bentleyville Greg Cole of Cokeburg and his step mother, June Cole of Ellsworth and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his parents is his wife, Irene Lanik Cole who died June 10, 2005, and a sister Jean Cole.
Friends will be received from 2-8pm Sunday in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main St. Bentleyville where funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday January 25, 2016. Interment will be in the Beallsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Wash. Co. Cattleman’s Assoc. Scholarship Fund, 52 Hetherington Rd., Bentleyville, Pa. 15314.
