Grace E. Detrick, age 81 of Beallsville, PA died Monday February 28, 2005 in her home after a long illness.
She was born September 9, 1923 in Fredericktown, PA a daughter of George and Mary Piper Crumrine.
Mrs. Detrick retired in 1986 from The Washington Hospital where she had worked as a Nurses Aide.
From 1956 to 1975 she co-owned and operated the Beallsville Dairy Bar and Grocery along with her husband Delbert Detrick. Mr. Detrick died June 2, 1977.
She was a member of the Beallsville United Methodist Church.
Surviving is a son - D. Lee Detrick of San Francisco, CA; a Daughter - Mary Ellen Gillis of Beallsville, PA; a Sister - Ethel Wilkerson of Rough and Ready, CA; two Granddaughters - Amy Richardson and Jana Gillis both of Beallsville; two Great Grandchildren - Christian and Kaylee Richardson; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Deceased in addition to her husband is a Grandson - Alan Jay Gillis who died June 23, 1979; three Brothers - John, Russell and Roy Crumrine.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Wednesday in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home 2830 Main St. Beallsville where services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 3, 2005 with Rev. Gary Gregg officiating. Interment will be in the Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, PA.
