Larry L. Miller

U.S. Navy vet worked for Penn Birmingham Bolt Co.

Larry L. “Lurch” Miller, 69, of Richeyville, died Saturday, April 23, 2011, in Washington Hospital.

He was born July 16, 1941, in Beallsville, a son of the late Wilbur W. and Eleanor Shriver Miller.

Mr. Miller was a 1960 graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School and formerly was employed by Penn Birmingham Bolt Co. in Scenery Hill.

A U.S. Navy veteran, he served from 1960 to 1964, and was a member of Hanson-Cole American Legion Post 391, Fredericktown.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Miners Club, Richeyville, and a past member of Richeyville Volunteer Fire Department.

He enjoyed attending classic car shows, working in his garage on his 1963 Chevy and his golf cart, polka dancing and camping with his family at Coopers Lake. The time spent with his grandson, working with model trains, brought him special enjoyment. His dogs, Daisy Mae and Colt, were very special to him.

On May 27, 1967, he married Dolores Impicini, who died February 1, 2007.

Surviving are two sons, Tim Miller (Brenda) of Bentleyville and Mark Miller (Jennifer) of Richeyville; four grandchildren, Travis, Evan and Nicholas Miller and Kaitlyn Johnson; two brothers, Bill Miller (Margaret) of Beallsville and his twin brother, Barry Miller (Mary) of Scenery Hill; three sisters, Dorothy Lynn (Jack), Ann Luketich (Frank), both of Beallsville, and Sandra Rush (John) of McDonald, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Marian Miller of Washington; a brother-in-law, Bill Chambers of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, Paul L. Miller and Wilbur W. Miller, who died in infancy. A nephew, Warren Miller, also is deceased.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
