Joyce W. Hrutkay, 83 of Washington, PA, formerly of Beallsville died Wednesday March 23, 2011 in the Donnell House, Washington.
She was born August 14, 1927 in Beallsville a daughter of the late Herbert and Sarah Gantz Carson.
Mrs. Hrutkay was a graduate of Beallsville High School and retired from the Housekeeping Department of The Washington Hospital.
She attended the Beallsville United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Hrutkay loved reading, gardening and working outdoors around her home in general.
Surviving are six children – Cynthia Duvall (Ronald) of Harrison City, PA, Mark D. Hrutkay (Dorothy), Victoria J. Milovac both of Washington, PA, Wendy C. Davis of Jeannette, PA, Kathy L. Ambrosy (Patrick) of Winston Salem, NC and Tobin R. Hrutkay of Washington, PA; Twelve grandchildren; Nine great grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a grandson – Jason Ambrosy; Two brothers – Clyde and Roy Carson; One sister – Jean Elliott; Her former husband – Lloyd N. Hrutkay. Mrs. Hrutkay was the last of her immediate family.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM Sunday in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA where services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday March 28, 2011 with Rev. James Markley officiating. Interment will be in the Beallsville Cemetery.
