Jean D. Dorazio, 85, of Scenery Hill died Monday November 29, 2004 at 11:15am in the Washington County Health Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born on November 9, 1919 in Sykesville, Pa. a daughter of the late Adamo and Liberata DeAngelo Contestable.
Mrs. Dorazio had been a homemaker and was a member of the Ave Maria Parish of Bentleyville, Bentleyville Senior Citizens, Tan-O-Bell Lanes Senior Bowling League, and enjoyed flowers and cooking.
On October 21, 1939 she married Ralph J. Dorazio who survives.
Also surviving is one son, Dominic A. Dorazio and his wife Patty of Houston, Pa., two daughters, Dolores Powell of Fairbanks, AK., Regina Cicci and her husband Gilbert of Bentleyville, three sisters, Virginia Zamiska of Las Vegas, NV., Rose Laskey of Roscoe, Pa., Venecia Garafalo of Daytona, Fla., seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and seven step-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents are three sisters, Mary Ciano, Jenny Dinardo, Carmella Dimarzio, and six brothers who died in infancy.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Wednesday in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main St. Bentleyville, where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday December 2, 2004 at 11:00am with Rev. John B. Lendvai officiating. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery.
