Helen Kupar Magera 82, of Cokeburg, PA passed away Friday July 15, 2016 in Townview Healthcare, Canonsburg.
She was born March 29, 1934 in Cokeburg, PA a daughter of the late George and Susan Kundrat Kupar.
Mrs. Magera was a graduate and Salutatorian of Ellsworth High School class of 1952. She also attended LaSalle School of Business and Stenotype Institute of Pittsburgh.
Helen was employed for many years as a secretary at the Youth Development Center in Canonsburg.
She enjoyed baking, Bingo, gaming, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed hosting holiday dinners for her family.
Mrs. Magera was a lifelong member of the Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Charleroi.
She was the wife of the late Frank P. “Sonny” Magera who died October 14, 1999.
Surviving are two sons; Michael P. Magera (Margaret) of Reno, NV and George F. Magera (Diana) of Sewickley, PA, five grandchildren; Ryan, Anna, Marie, Maxwell and Nicholas Magera, several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are a brother George Kupar, and two sisters; Mary Wasulko and Theresa Krajnak.

Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 8 PM in the Greenlee Funeral Home 619 Main St. Bentleyville, PA. where a Panachida Service will be held at 9 AM Monday, July 18, 2016 followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 AM at Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Charleroi, PA with Father Stephen Wahal and Father James Ragan as Co-Celebrants. Interment will follow in the Beallsville Cemetery. A Parastas will be held in the Funeral Home at 3 PM Sunday.
