Ann Rose Basey, 91 of Daisytown, PA died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in Golden Living Center, Canonsburg, PA. 
She was born April 5, 1923 in Lowsville, WV a daughter of the late John and Helen Shida Lipsky.
A homemaker, Ann worked in a munitions factory in Texas to aid the war effort. 
She was a lifelong member of the Christian Assembly of God Church, Bentleyville, PA. 
Mrs. Basey enjoyed gardening and cooking, and excelled at making homemade fudge.
On February 14, 1941 she married Steve Basey who died October 13, 1985. 
Surviving are four children, Leonard S. Basey of Daisytown, PA, Nicholas Basey (Judy) of Bentleyville, PA, Rose Pournaras (Chris) of Canonsburg, PA and Timothy Basey (Janet) of Donora, PA; two grandchildren, Stefanie King (Matt) of Canonsburg, PA and Thomas Pournaras (Ashley) of Brunswick, MD.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband is a grandson, Timothy James Pournaras who died December 21, 2014; three brothers, Frank, John and Mike Lipsky; one sister, Sophie Messar.

Funeral services will be private and under the direction of the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, PA. Interment will be in the Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, PA.
