OBITUARY

 

Mary B. Pelan Palovich, 89 of Cokeburg, PA died Saturday September 14, 2013 in her home. 
She was born August 5, 1924 in Canonsburg, PA a daughter of the late Valentine and Karolina Sajn Pelan.
Mrs. Palovich was a graduate of Pittsburgh Beauty Academy and for many years was employed as a hair stylist for Mary’s Beauty Shop in Canonsburg, PA. For several years she was employed by Continental Can of Canonsburg. During WWII she worked as a welder at Neville Island in Pittsburgh, PA. 
She was a member of the Cokeburg Presbyterian Church, former member and past president of the Cokeburg VFD Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the St. George Croation Fraternal Union Lodge #354, Cokeburg and SNPJ Lodge.
She enjoyed ceramics, polka music and dancing, flower gardening, humming birds, family gatherings and loved her nieces, nephews and neighbors. 
On July 3, 1965 she married Frank “Sam” Palovich who died September 9, 2013.
Surviving are two sisters, Josephine Berardinelli (Dick) of Cokeburg, PA and Frances Delfine (Michael) of Baden, PA.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are four sisters, Annie, Mildred and Bertha Pelan, Carolyn Marshall.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 P.M. Tuesday in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA where funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, PA.
