OBITUARY

James Laskey, 77, of Roscoe died Tuesday, June 7, 2005 in UPMC Shadyside. He was born in Charleroi on July 25, 1927. Catholic by faith, he was a member on Mon Valley Country Club and a charter member of the Tenth Street Athletic Club in Charleroi. A resident of Roscoe since 1967, he was formerly of Charleroi. Mr. Laskey was the former owner of J & J Transmission in Dunlevy since 1953 and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War 2. Survivors include his wife, Rose Constable Laskey, with whom he would have celebrated 56 years of marriage on June 18, 2005, 2 daughters, Jayne M. Laskey of Charleroi and Lori Ann Genchur of N. Charleroi, 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Jeanne Laskey of Charleroi and James D. and Lynn Laskey of Carroll Twp., 5 sisters, Helen Tibbits of Florida, Eleanor Rohall of Pittsburgh, Joan Deutsch of Charleroi, Bernice Kamenar of Elizabeth and Carol Buszinski of Charleroi and 7 grandchildren, Deni, Deiter and Marissa Laskey, Olivia Sikorsky, Jaime McMinn, Angelo Genchur and Alexandra Laskey. Mr Laskey was preceded in death by 1 brother, Joseph Laskey. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 P.M. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. in the Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Service, (724-929-5300), a Golden Rule Member Firm, 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Barbara Stoehr, chaplain of UPMC Shadyside, officiating.
