OBITUARY

William “Bill” A. Bodnar, 86 of Daisytown died Saturday May 16, 2015.
He was born October 3, 1928 in Washington County a son of the late Mike and Ethel Hajdu Bodnar.
Mr. Bodnar was a 1947 graduate of California Area High School and had been employed by J & Steel and Massey Energy as a maintnence foreman at Vesta #5 coal mine and Combs Shaft. He retired in 1986 after many years of service.
He had been a lifelong member of the Daisytown Hungarian United Presbyterian Church and also the Hungarian Club of Daisytown and the United Mine Workers of America.
Mr. Bodnar was a man of God and had deep faith, he enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, fixing things around the house and also Pirates Baseball.
On November 28, 1957 he married Joanne Myers Bodnar who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Bill Bodnar of Daisytown, Stephanie Most of Fallowfield Twp., Kevin Bodnar and Fiancee Marcy Saghy of West Brownsville, a sister Grace Sakach of Pittsburgh and several nieces and nephews. 
Deceased in addition to his parents is a brother, Steve Bodnar and an infant sister.
Friends will be received from 2-8pm Tuesday in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main St. Beallsville where funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 20, 2015 at 11:00am with Pastor Beverly Bonnell officiating. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery.
