William L. Theakston, 61, of Charleroi, died Monday, September 19, 2011 in UPMC - Shadyside, Pittsburgh. 

He was born March 18, 1950 in Washington, a son of the late Willis William and Vesta M. Lane Theakston. 

He attended the Bentleyville schools and worked at the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport mill. 

Surviving are his wife, Ernestine Palanzo Theakston; a son, William K. Theakston (Nikia) of Scenery Hill; a daughter, Ashley L. Sabo (James) of Bentleyville and several grandchildren. 

Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a sister, Janet Kay Thomas. 

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 22, 2011 with Bishop William Ilgenfritz, pastor of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Charleroi, officiating.
