Sarah F. Abbadini

Member of Millsboro Presbyterian Church

Sarah F. Abbadini, 92, of Vestaburg, died Thursday, February 17, 2011, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.

She was born October 11, 1918, in Gastonville, a daughter of the late Ulysess G. and Sarah Gettings Perry.

Mrs. Abbadini was a 1937 graduate of East Bethlehem High School and had been a longtime employee of Centerville Clinics, where she worked in housekeeping.

She was a member of Millsboro Presbyterian Church, the former Vestaburg Presbyterian Church and Bethlehem-Center Senior Citizens, and she enjoyed traveling, crochet, ceramics, baking, sewing, making hardtack candy and, most of all, spending time with her family.

Surviving are three daughters, Alberta L. Abbadini of Washington, Emily B. Darney of Vestaburg and Donna L. White of Clarksville; a son, Robert E. Abbadini (Kathy) of Centerville; a sister, Irene Patton of Library; five grandchildren, Emily Plutch, William P. Darney, Jason Darney, Robert J. Abbadini and Kristen Sisler; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Albert Abbadini, who died in 1977; four sisters, Laverne Mize, Catherine Pelkey, Amelda Perry and Marie DiSimone; four brothers, John, William, Ernest and Frank Perry; a stepbrother, Harry Gettings; and a stepsister, Zetta Bookie.

Friends will be received from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, with the Rev.
