Laura Marie Ferris, 79 of Washington, Pa, formerly of Deemston Borough passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in Donnell House after a lengthy illness.
She was born March 2, 1936 in Centerville Borough, a daughter of the late William Curtis and Marie Dickinson Tate.
She was a 1954 graduate of Centerville High School.
Laura enjoyed spending time with her family and was a long time member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. 
On September 17, 1954 she married Joseph E. (Eddie) Ferris who died December 28, 2010.
Surviving are four sons; David J. Ferris of Latrobe, Alan D. Ferris (Donna) of Washington, D. Scott Ferris (Donna) of Macungie, William J. Ferris (Melissa) of Lamont Furnace, daughter Linda D. Grimm (Donald) of Washington, seven grandchildren; Patrick Grimm (Eileen), Jason Grimm, Alan Ferris, Dr. Katheryn Frazier M.D. (Alex), Morgan Ferris, Lyndsey Gordon (Kyle), Joshua Ferris (Kimberlee), four great grandchildren; Evelyn Grimm, Lochlan Frazier, Kori Gordon, Kaylee Ferris, several nieces and nephews, and a sister Bonnie Kovanitz.
Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are a brother David C. Tate, and two sisters, Lorraine Doak and Romaine Weber.

Friends will be received from 3 to 8 PM Friday, January 8 in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main St. Beallsville. Funeral Service will be private with interment in Beallsville Cemetery.
