OBITUARY

Edward D. Harr, 79, of Beallsville, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018, in Washington Health System.

He was born November 12, 1939, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Albert E. and Teresa Przybilski Harr.

Mr. Harr was a 1957 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School.

He served with the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965 during the Vietnam War.

He was an underground coal miner working for Bethlehem Mines, Mine 58 and was later employed by Beallsville Borough in their streets and sewage departments.

He was a member of the United Mine Workers Local 2874 and Hancock-McCune-Horne American Legion Post 705 Centerville.

He enjoyed watching Steeler football and spending time with his grandchildren.

On December 7, 1974, he married Faye L. Baker Harr, who survives. They celebrated 44 years of marriage.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Cathy Dolhi (Bob) of McKeesport and Kelly Duricic (Don) of Deemston Borough; four grandchildren, Kristin and Donnie Duricic, Jenna Binder (Joe) and Craig Dolhi; two brothers, Albert E. Harr Jr. (Dolly) of Lancaster and Richard Lee Harr (Carole) of Hudson, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Rose Baker of Beallsville and Frances Pitzer of Scenery Hill; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Friday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 22, with Pastor Tate Fulton officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Beallsville United Methodist Church, PO Box 136, Beallsville, PA 15313 or Beallsville Civic Center, PO Box 99, Beallsville, PA 15313.
