OBITUARY

Sarah A. “Sally” Bane 92, of Fredericktown, PA. (Deemston Boro.) died Monday, June 7, 2010 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.V.
She was born August 3, 1917 in Richeyville, PA a daughter of the late Charles C. and Pearl Shawley Patterson.
Mrs. Bane had been a homemaker and was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church for over 60 years where she taught Sunday School, was a custodian and also was a member of the United Methodist Women. 
She loved having family picnics at her home as well as baking, cooking, gardening, canning and raising and selling strawberries.
Surviving are one son, Charles Lloyd Bane (Joan) of Deemston Borough; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Bane of Cleveland, OH; six grandchildren, Duane Knopwaskey, Fred Knopwaskey, Jr., Janet Walters, William Bane, Sharon Puzder and Debbie Bane; 12 great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family.
Deceased are her husband, Clyde M. Bane who died March 17, 1997; daughter, Betty Knopwaskey, son, Clyde W. Bane, three sisters, Mary Hupp, Grace Burnette and Dorothy Fowkes; two brothers, Charles “Chuck” Patterson and V. L. “Bud” Patterson and a son-in-law, Fred Knopwaskey, Sr.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, PA where friends will gather at 10:30am to proceed to the Mt. Zion U.M. Church where services will be held at 11:00 A.M.Thursday, June 10, 2010 with Rev. James Markley officiating. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, PA. The family suggests contributions be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 392 Ridgewood Drive, Fredericktown, PA 15333.
