OBITUARY

Tony Pagac, 81 of Richeyville, PA died Sunday February 20, 2011 in The Washington Hospital.
He was born January 23, 1930 in Cokeburg, PA a son of the late Frank Pagac, Sr. and Mary Trumpka Pagac.
Mr. Pagac retired from the A.T.Massey Coal Co. Vesta #5 mine after 25 years of coal mining experience. Also self employed, Tony co-owned and operated the Pagac Sanitation Service in Centerville Boro. for many years.
For many years after his retirement he enjoyed repairing small engines as well as golfing, bowling and shooting pool.
Mr. Pagac was very proud of all his children, grandchildren and his new great grandson.
He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America Local 762, a lifelong member of the St. Agnes R.C.Church, Richeyville, Miners Club of Richeyville, Polish National Alliance, Daisytown Athletic Club and the Hungarian Club of Daisytown.
On September 30, 1950 he married Toots Eloshway Pagac, who survives. They celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children – Victor Anthony Pagac, Sr. (Julianna) of Richeyville, Richard S. Pagac (Anne) of Centerville and Lynn Slagle (Dennis) of Fredericktown; Six grandchildren – Victor Anthony Pagac, Jr. (Kate),Tayra Pagac, Ashley Beinecke (Robert), Samantha Slagle, Davis Slagle and Matthew Pagac (Rachel); One great grandson – Robert Anthony Beinecke; Two brothers – Andy and Ed Pagac, both of Richeyville; Several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his parents are six brothers – Frank Pagac, Jr., Stanley Pagac, who was killed in action during WWII, John, Joseph, Elmer and Charles “Gus” Pagac; Two sisters – Agnes Lutes and Margaret Pagac.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM and Thursday 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA where Prayers will be said at 9:30 AM Friday February 25, 2010 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in the St. Agnes R.C.Church, Richeyville, PA with Rev. John Forbidussi as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Beallsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 20421 Rt 19, Suite 115, Cranberry Twp., PA 16066.
