Michael Budzanoski

Cokeburg resident was active in Vesta Baseball

Michael “Buzzy” Budzanoski, 51, of Cokeburg, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 9, 2011, in the Washington Hospital emergency room.

He was born July 3, 1959, in Brownsville, a son of Sally Lutes Budzanoski, who survives in Ontario, and the late Joe Budzanoski.

Mr. Budzanoski was a graduate of Bentworth High School.

He was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a roadway program technician, where he had been employed for the last 23 years, holding many positions. He also ran the “Adopt a Highway” program through PennDOT.

For the last 20 years, he was active in Vesta Baseball, where he was the present secretary, past president and coach. He also was a past active member of PONY Baseball.

Mr. Budzanoski also was a member of many clubs.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two sons, Michael Budzanoski of Cokeburg and Justin (Nicole) Budzanoski of Cokeburg; brothers Ken (Sandy) Gorby of Washington, Harry (Donna) Gorby of Cokeburg and Butch (Irene) Gorby of Scenery Hill; a granddaughter, Kaylee Budzanoski of Cokeburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his father, is a brother, Jim Gorby.

Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in  Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 12. Burial will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
