OBITUARY

Thomas J. Kennedy Administrator of Cokeburg Moose

Thomas J. Kennedy, age 63 of Cokeburg, PA died Saturday, April 17, 2004 at 12:20 a.m. in the Donnell House, Washington, PA. He was born April 8, 1941 in Cokeburg, PA a son of the late John and Bessie Snyder Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy was a 1960 graduate of Ellsworth High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Kennedy retired as Mine Foreman of the Bethlehem Mine Corp. #60. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1625, Sons of Italy and Croatian Club all of Cokeburg. Mr. Kennedy was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagle of Bentleyville, Carroll Township American Legion Post 949, Cokeburg Moose Golf Team Friday night Golf League at Foxwood Acres Golf Course, and the Cokeburg Presbyterian Church, Cokeburg. On April 3, 1965 he married Carol Bird Kennedy who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife is three daughters, Mrs. Martin (Darla) Edgar of Cokeburg, PA, Mrs. Kenneth (Barbara) Benedetti of Ellsworth, PA, and Mrs. Robert (Donna) Shaynak of Ellsworth, PA, two brothers, John "Cobb" Kennedy of Cokeburg, PA and Eugene "Butch" Kennedy of Cokeburg, PA, one sister Mrs. George (Patty) Meyers of Cokeburg, PA, six grandchildren, Melissa and Martin Edgar, Duane and Karlea Holub, Sarah Kennedy and Joshua Quigley. Deceased in addition to his parents is one sister, Jackie Kennedy Reese. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. on Sunday and Monday in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main St., Bentleyville where services will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ray Bruno officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, PA. LOOM #1625 of Cokeburg will conduct services at 7:00pm in the funeral home In Lieu of flowers donations maybe made to Cokeburg Youth Baseball, c/o George Anderson, 737 Vanceville Rd., Eighty-Four, PA 15330 or the Cokeburg Presbyterian Church, 100 Washington St., Cokeburg, PA 15324.
