OBITUARY

Bradley Barrett "Barry" Deems, Sr., 66 of Taylorstown, died at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2007, in UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, due to injuries received in a truck accident.

He was born August 8, 1941, in Brownsville, a son of Merle Samuel and Mildred Irene Rodgers Deems.

Mr. Deems attended Centerville Schools and served in the Army National Guard.

He was a truck driver for A & S Landscaping, Canonsburg, and a member of LOOM #22. 

A member of Taylorstown Christian Church, he sang gospel music for several churches and loved playing music and entertaining people.

Surviving are two sons, Bradley Barrett Deems, Jr. of Michigan and Timmy Lee (Robin) Deems of Williamston, South Carolina; a daughter, Donna Rudy of Washington; two brothers, Gene (Patty) Deems of Washington and Donald L. (Teddy) Deems of Meadowlands; two sisters, Joyce Louraine (Butch) Butterfield and Janice K. (Dave) Sikora, both of Washington; and five grandchildren.

Deceased are two brothers, Charles R. Deems and Edwin F. Deems.

Friends will be received Noon to 8 p.m., the hour of service, Sunday, August 26th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Elizabeth DeWeese officiating.
